Ingredients
- White Rice - 1 cup
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice - 3-4 tbsp
- Salt - as required
- Ghee or Oil - 2 tbsp
- Chana Daal - 1 tbsp
- Curry Leaves - 1 stem
- Red Chilli - 2 nos:
- Fenugreek - a pinch
- Add turmeric powder, salt and 1/2 tsp ghee to the rice and cook in 2 glasses of water and keep aside. (make sure that the rice is not sticky)
- In a wok bring ghee or oil to heat and saute chana daal, red chilli and curry leaves.
- Add fenugreek, rice and lime juice and mix well. (adjust lime juice according to your taste)..
- The hot and tangy Lemon Rice is ready to serve with raitha.
