Dates-Walnut Cake

Dates are a source of antioxidants. Dates contain a brain booster and help maintain bone mass. Walnuts are the top nut for brain health and is the super Plant Source of Omega-3s. Dates-Walnut Cake can be served as a snack to the kids who do not like to eat Dates and Walnut. Ingredients Dates - 15-20 (de-seeded) Walnut - 15-20 All-purpose flour (Maida) - 1 1/2 cups Baking powder - 1/2 tsp Baking Soda - a pinch Eggs - 2 nos Sugar - 3/4 cup Unsalted butter (in room temperature) - 100gm Salt - a pinch Vanilla essence - 1/4 tsp Preparation Method Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees Celsius). Grease the baking tray with butter and dust with maida. Finely chop the dates and walnuts and keep aside. Sieve together maida, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and keep aside. Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients Maida - 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour - 1 cup Baking Powder - 1/2 tsp Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp Salt -  a pinch Unsalted Butter - 100 gms: (in room temperature) Brown Sugar - 1/2 cup Sugar - 1/2 cup Egg - 1 (in room temperature) Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp Chocolate Chips - 1 cup Preparation Method Seive together maida, wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and keep aside. Powder brown sugar and sugar and keep aside. In glass bowl, soften the butter with a hand-held whisk. Add powdered sugar and mix till the butter-sugar mix become creamy. Add egg and vanilla essence; mix till the it become creamy. Gradually add the flour and combine with whisk. Add chocolate chips and combine with whisk or hands and make a thick dough. Refrigerate the dough atleast for one hour. Preheat the oven at 180degree C for 10mins: Line the cookie tray with butter paper. Place one scoop or lemon sized dough in the baking tray. Coconut Cookies

Coconut Cookies are easy to make evening snack and kids will love it for sure.  I got this recipe from a cookery show and made some modifications according to my taste.. Ingredients Butter - 50 gms: (in room temperature) Sugar - 1/2 cup (powdered) Maida - 1/2 cup Whole Wheat flour - 1/2 cu Egg -  1 no: Decicated Coconut -3/4 cup Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp Mixed Fruit Jam - as required Milk - 1-2 tbsp (optional) Preparartion Method Separate egg white and yolk and keep aside. Pre-heat the oven in 180 degree F. Take maida and whole wheat flour in mixing bowl; add butter to the flour and mix well. While mixing rub with your fingers so that the flour turns like bread crumbs. Beat the egg yolk and add to the flour and knead well. Add 1/2 cup decicated coconut, sugar and vanilla essence and knead well. The cookie dough consistency should be that of chappathi dough. If required, add 1 or 2 tbsp of milk and knead well. Beat the egg white and keep aside....

Egg Biscuit

What about making the Egg Biscuits, which is available in bakery at home??? A good idea, right??? Ingredients Egg - 1 no: (at room temp) Sugar - 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour/Maida - 3 tbsp Baking Powder - a pinch Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp Preparation Method Preheat the oven to 180 degree C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and apply a small coating of Oil or Butter.  Sift together flour and baking powder and keep aside. Beat egg, sugar and vanilla essence till it is pale in color and doubles in volume.  Add the flour mixture and mix gently with a wooden spoon. (Don’t use a mixer). Transfer this mixture into a zip pouch and make a small cut on one corner of the pouch. Drip the batter onto the baking sheet by applying small pressure to make small drops leaving space in between the drops. Bake for 12 to 15 mins: or till it starts to brown lightly around the edges. Home-made Chocolate / No Cooking No Baking Chocolate

Valentine's Day....   So whats  there better than preparing home-made chocolate for your loved ones, that filled with your love <3 This is a very easy no cooking, no baking chocolate with nuts and raisins, which can be easily prepared without messing up your kitchen :) Ingredients Marie Biscuit - 10-12 nos: (powdered) Coco Powder - 2 tsp Butter (Melted) - 1 tbsp Condensed Milk - 2 tbsp Sugar - 2 tbsp (powdered) Vanilla Essence - 1/2 tsp  Cashew Nuts - 1/4 cup (crushed) Raisins  - 1/4 cup (chopped) Milk - 1-2 tsp (optional) Preparation Method In a bowl  mix together powdered biscuits, sugar, coco powder, vanilla essence, butter and consed milk and make a smooth dough. Christmas Pinwheel Cookies

Merry Christmas... ... Here comes Christmas special Pinwheel Cookies........ Ingredients Maida (All-purpose Flour) - 2 1/2 cups Salt- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder- 1/2 tsp Unsalted Butter - 1 cup (softened) Sugar- 1 cup Egg- 1 Vanilla Essence- 1 tsp Milk- 3 tbsp Red and Green color - as required (you can use any colors) Preparation Method Sift the maida, baking powder together and keep aside. In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar. Add the egg, vanilla, milk  and beat for 2-3 mins:. Add the maida mixture, spoon by spoon beating until combined. Divide this into 3 portions.  Add red color into one portion and green into another. Mix well till the  color is uniformly spreads. (use your fingers, if required).  The dough will be slightly wet. Wheat-Almond Cookies

Ingredients Wheat Flour - 1 cup Sugar - 1/2 cup Almonds - 1/2cup (finely chopped or crushed) Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup (melted) Vanilla Essence  - 1/2 tbsp Milk - 2 tbsp Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp Salt - a pinch Preparation Method Mix wheat flour, salt and baking soda, add butter and make a dough. Keep aside the dough for about 10-15mins: Pre-heat oven to 200 degrees C. Divide the dough in to small balls.Now press each ball between your palms to from a cookie. Repeat the procedure for the remaining balls and spread them in a cookie pan. Bake them for 15 mins. Brush milk over each cookies and bake for 5-10mins: or until cookies turn into light brown color. Remove from oven, let the cookies cool down for about 15 mins. Healthy and delicious cookies is ready to serve.
